Save our sport! SB798
Someone should show the good senator this video:
I'm sorry, was that your face?!
Whats up all! I'm trying to organize a protest at the capital on June 3rd called Operation Capital. Check out my event at www.mashcommairsoft.com and let me know what you think. We all need to run together on this one, this will severely jeapordize our sport and the manufacturers that we all buy from. I need some support on this one to spread the word. Can't wait to see everyone on the field.

Bump.
OH, don't mind Austin, we let him greet the guests, and then tie him up out back.
Was at the AEX Rancho store today. Saw two kids and mommy come in toting an MP5 and some kind of sniper rifle...

maybe it needs to be like buying a firearm where you need basic training to buy or handle a weapon, this is excactly what is killing our image! I've seen a lot of parents treat airsoft guns as toys with their kids instead of teaching them the dangers and responsibilities that need to apply all the time.....

If you guys would be interested I have been thinking about setting up an appointment with the senator, I've never been an e-mail person. According to one of the secretaries, we can usually get an appointment about a week in advance. I should be able to get us an appointment, would anyone come with me if I got us one?
If its on a saturday in sac, I can do it.

If you were referring to me, no I wouldn't be protesting the orange tip. I was going to explain that anyone can paint a real gun green, and that painting our toy guys green wouldn't do anything but make people view them as children's toys, when they shouldn't be. (etc.)
DeLeon isn't available weekends, or Fridays. We could try another senator though if the idea appeals to anyone.
called a bunch of times to the point they told me to stop calling. if this passes think of the lives at danger and the huge decrease of popularity in airsoft and many will lose their jobs because of this.
When you think it's safe to go back into battle...well look for my stick grenade.
just curious, are paintball guns included in this bill? rap4 makes some paintball guns that look exactly like real firearms also, so just wondering.
According to ASGI's Facebook, the lobbyists for the ASF (Airsoft Safety Foundation, a new group formed in CA, not sure by who or whatnot) say that assemblymen have NOT heard a lot of opposition to the SB798 bill. Unfortunately, too many people that are calling in are likely under 18, and therefore cannot vote. Which means that the representatives are unlikely to care. More action needs to be taken by registered voters. Keep calling/writing if you are registered to vote. Evidently the hearing for this bill is scheduled for the 14th of this month.
Team S.A.S.
is the hearing public, and if so where would it be?
Looks like the asf is comprised of all the big shops, manufacturers and distributors in cali.
Look its a bird its a plane, no its just my broken aeg flying all over the place.
