Is digging at nam allowed?

Feb 16, 2010 9:56pm
Had a idea pop into my head to dig a fighting position at nam, maybe even make a sacair event out of it. But I don't know what the restrictions are on digging out there now. Building...probably not but just digging pits and trenches, anyone know?

Um sure, just don't dig on the levees.

I think we need to keep the field modification to a more private deal. Lets not make a big deal out of them. For two reasons... One the area is a wild life preserve and we could get fined. Two the more people know about it the more some of the other groups will want to go screw around. I know it's impossible to keep it a secret from other groups. But when we show up at 7am and quickly carry the stuff into the field we can at least avoid problems from rangers or law enforcement.

Thats kind of the idea i had aswell, digging a good sized fighting position in that treeline across from the treehouse area.

Yea, I was thinking about another 200 yards past that closer to the river. Setting up 5-6 interlocking well built fox holes, 2-3 with covers / partial roofs, a decent trench, lots of sandbags etc.

So we walked the field after the work on friday. The area's to the north west of the tree house area about 300 yards out are god damn amazing! Way better then the crap hole area's we've been playing in. They have natural ditches, slopes on the fields, a nice Iwo Jima like mini-hill, a burnt out old car and lots of tree clusters.

Yes, those areas are prime and relatively virgin.
