So I know Tobins kicked the idea around a little bit... but since the WW2 stuff was a rather expensive venture for many... Is there any interest in venturing into the realm of Vietnam MILSIM? The gear, uniforms, etc I've found is amazingly cheaper and obviously the weaponry is much more abundant.

Sounds fun straw hats and ak 47s plus our nam field in some places is pretty similar

Actually Nick, I was hoping you would respond. I need a go to guy for some questions, places for gear and weaponry info. I've got about half a dozen interested bodies who want to pick up M16A1's and setup impressions. What I'm lacking is a place that has them in stock, as well as the 20rd style magazines or a direct vendor who sales the gear... I was thinking of an Army unit... As crappy as most of us play we'd far better as draftees :)

I'd love to get into stuff like this.. Nam would be some awesome Combat. Not to mention we could do alot of fun stuff with it.. We neeed Schedule a 2 day Event.. =P have it where we always have guys on guard at night and some take turns countin sheep, because u never know when that other team is going to make an attack on your camp sight. . Then switch.. Just like I'm taught in JROTC haha. We did a night op for Milsim Paintball... It was a ton of fun..

Check out Nam War Collectables, it has a lot of Vietnam era gear to bid on.

would it have to be specific gearing or could some of us be like just regular soldiers with a few pins(of era) od gear mag pouches helmet + gun

yupp. Its what Military have been usein for along time now haha.. They have new ones this year that are amazing haha. If my parents didn't cook dinner at night I'd just buy a box of em and eat those for dinner..

I've gotta redo my setup if were switchin up to Nam stuff haha. Someone needs to get a group going so we can organize who wants to do it.

I built my Vietnam style M16 off a KWA base, it's a monster.

just fyi you can take your m16 and just get foregrips and bam you ahve a useable vn
