badass! I'm sure I can muster up a loaner M1 Helmet, a lot of WW2 gear is still amongst our guys and a mitchell cover thrown over would work perfect :D
If you are doing a Marine Recon impression you do not need a helmet or vest. All you need to start with is 2-3 m-56 pouch's, 2 canteens, harness, but pack and bayonet or kabar. Later on gas mask, compass,poncho and liner. I will post up other sites for you guys to look up.

So would an avarage Marine or Soldier carry a machete? If so I'm assuming it'd be a 1942 18in.? and where could I find one I don't much like eBay.

although, a machette may help you in the thick of NAM....some of those back roads are THICK....

some of the NAM game fun we have had over the years in SOCAL almost all of these are LRRP images from our RECONDO event trainings in prep for the washington events.
