i just google searched the hell out of it and all i found was a release of 31 back in '07, and some homemade projects, looks like its not in production, and if it is, its limited quantities and very expensive

Yes an OPFOR belt fed gun is long over due. Western forces have plenty of M-249, M-60 and now an M-240. The closest thing OPFOR forces have for a medium machine gun is an RPK but that is a drum fed gun. What the OPFOR forces need is an RPD or PKM.
