Okay, so I'm considering getting a Scar-L for my aeg(currently operating as a sniper), I'm looking to get a full length. And have it narrowed down to CA and WE (big surprise). And was hoping people with actual experience owning or using one of these brands of Scar-L could comment and give me some tips on the upsides and the flaws to this gun, well these specific companies versions of it I should say.

You can't use the WE at sac air games, because there is a rule against gas riffles.

The AEG is much more reliable and user friendly........gas autos are fidley and costly to get running right......

buy the VFC model, much better.

hmm, yeah i completely forgot the WE was gas. and i don't think i came across the VFC scar. I'll have to look into that. thanks for everyone's help. Oh another random question. Anyone have any experience with the KWA m4's? are the descent guns for the price?

Go to AEX in Sacramento or Gamepod in Antioch, (call first to make sure they have both Scars) feel them, shoot them, etc.

there is a guy on craigslist selling a vfc, ca, and echo1 scar lights. He is under the stockton area just type in airsoft you'll see it its one of the top few posts. he wants 360 for the vfc, and like 220 I think for the ca and echo1. check it out could save you a lot of money. In my experience the vfc is very good externally but lacking internally where as the ca is very good internally but not as well as the vfc externals. I personally owned a ca scar-h, thouhgt it shot great but still liked the vfc externals better

I was one of the first people to buy the classic army scar from airsoft extreme when it firstst came out. I still use it to this day as my most reliable aeg. the only thing I would watch out for is that you make sure to watch out for the folding stock. if you put it in certain rifle bags fully extended, it might hyperextend the folding stock. I did that had a hell of a time trying to find a replacement stock.

Sounds like classic army is the winner then. now for the biggest challenge. getting that much money to spare so i can get it

well im in debt, and my job gives me hardly any hours (18-25 hrs a paycheck!) i cant even afford to buy extra mags for my sniper rifle :(
