Airsoft Extreme NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE
I thought I should help the community and warn you about Airsoft Extreme. I ordered a VFC SCAR-H SSR from them online, and what I received was the wrong version. It was the 290 FPS version that was to be sold to other Countries, not the US. When I sent them an email asking what version they sent me, they ignored it, because according to them, they weren't sure which version it was. It even had unlicensed FN trades on it, so it was illegal for them to sell it to me anyway. When I called for a return RMA, they told me that they would have to charge me a %15 restocking fee ($66). I told them that they have no right to charge me that because they sent me the wrong gun, and it was illegal for them to sell that one to me in the US. After some bickering, they agreed to accept the return with no restocking fee. When they received the return, they called me and said that the metal sling loop was broken off, so they were going to charge me the restocking fee. I told them that was a lie, and I sent them pictures that I took of the gun in the box right before I closed it up and shipped it back. My pictures show that the gun was not broken. They told me that they have pictures of it broken, and that they would send them to me and call me back. Well they sent me no pictures and did not call me back. Take this as a warning, do not buy from Airsoft Extreme online. Their business practices are shady and illegal! I ordered the same gun from another company, and they sent me the correct 400+ FPS version with no trades on it.
it seems like you just had a bad experience, becuase i work at best buy i deal with complaints like your all the time, the truth is 99% of deals done by them do on without a hitch, and are amazing quite frankly, ive been dealing, ordering and buying from them for far longer than ive been involved with sacair, what it sounds like is that you were one of the rare ones that slipped through the cracks and just had a terrible experience, but saying that their business is shady and illegal is just an untrue generalization, they deal with 100's of deals a day most likely and to have one be worng is actually a better track record that ive heard with other companies just because yours is the first of any complaint ive heard having known hundreds of people who shop with them,what they said about all their restocking fees may sound unfair, but all of what they said was most likely exactly on par with their policies, they were not attackig you personally and have nothing on you, it was simply misunderstanding after misunderstanding, as what happens with businesses everywhere

The manager should have accepted the return and not charged me a restocking fee, because they sent me the wrong gun. Then he lied to me and said the gun I returned was broken, and provided me with no proof, while I did provide proof that what I returned was not broken, in good condition, and well packed. The gun was not damaged in shipping, because he even admitted the box was not damaged. So he lied. That's shady and illegal. AEX is not Best Buy. It is a small operation, and all return issues are going to go through the same guy, who does not treat his customers properly. So be warned.

I love aex but I just gotta say that 15% re stocking fee is bullshit!!

While I love AEX, and I should note all of their local employee's are great members of the community. Their website does asbolutely frakking blow sometimes.. I've order a bunch of stuff from them only to be told a couple of days later it's out of stock.. Would be nice to know, before I place the order, but I will say at least it's not as bad as WGC, where you send the money over Paypal. THEN! you find out it's out of stock 2-3 days later... :shock:
I don't know about the online service, but if you go to the store they take care of you. They answer every question and do so respectfully.

oh yeah I had the same problem - the original gun I ordered was the tan version, and they did not notify me that it was out of stock. I emailed them three days later and asked just to make sure, and it was indeed out of stock, so I told them they could send me the black version. Communications with them has been terrible from the beginning.
