cybergun question
a buddy of mine is looking at getting a thompson MG made by cybergun. does anyone know anything about these? are they good? is it something that he should definitely NOT get? he said it has a metal body and metal gearbox and shoots 466 fps

I got the M1A1 military version that said 426 on the box. and that 466 fps is with .12 which you dont want to use, mine shoots 395 with .20 if i was your friend id get the regular military version. Overall it's a very durable and reliable gun, except the screws will come out eventually and need to be replaced. Besides that it's perfect for me.

ya the one that he is looking at is the m1a1 classic military version. can you get extra mags for it? does it use real batteries?

Yeah i got extra mags for mine of airsplat and yeah it uses an 8.4 volt nothing special decent ROF high fps and good range/accuracy

If your friend does get the gun and extra mags there's a surplus site that sells reproduction mag pouches for thompsons but they're out of stock

I seem to remember Hairy_Apples and his girl both running Cybergun Thompsons. You might ask him. They skirmished the gun a number of times and would be a good bet for a long term review of the gun.

The CYMA/cybergun Thompson is awesome. He will be very happy with it. I've had a number of them now and never had any major issues with them. The first two Dani and I got we've had for 4 years now and they are both still running strong after many many games.

i dont have one, but I know someone that does. He has been using it for almost a year now and i never heard him complaining about it.
