ok the weapon in question is a CA M4. just did some minor upgrades and now it is all jacked up! I put in a 100 spring steel gu8ide rod and a new piston head. the weapon will fire just fine for about 15-20 burst shots then will bind up. the piston will be in the fully back position with the spring totally compressed. if I pull the trigger again I can hear the motor binding up in the pistol grip. about 10 more trigger pulls and the weapon will free up and start shooting again for about another 15-20 burst shots then bind up again. any ideas?

Is it properly shimmed? did any of them move when you opened the gear box? IS the head on correctly? Perhaps it is not tight enough and it is miss allinging the piston somehow.

Could be the battery too

Make sure that you give the gears a good greasing too.
