Lemme guess, the TM piston was unharmed?
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.
Stay away from bearings, use bushings. I have had them shatter in my guns and destroy my gear set, my piston, scar the cylinder, and gum up and make it very hard to repair. Yes they lower resistance and make it quieter but stay away.
I feel your pain and pleasure! my MP5 just did the exact same thing. lost all the teeth on the spur gear. I was scared as hell taking apart the gearbox since I had never torn into the machine before. while in there I replaced all the gears with CA gears and decided to upgrade the spring. (from stock to garder 100) put it all back together semi auto awesome full auto crap I broke the tappet rod. while putting it back together I lost the selector spring. I didn't find that out till it was back together.but oh how nice it felt on full rock and roll. went to asbg and found out how important it was to have semi auto so I went back in and put in a new selector spring. that's when I found out I had another problem. the trigger spring was not installed correctly.....Dammit! so back into the gear box I went. I'm starting to feel like a pro going into it now lol while in there well I couldn't help myself.... I upgraded the spring again to a 110 and put in a new steel spring guide with bearings on it. got it all put back together.
