This is just my opinion, but if someone broke into my house and I needed to defend myself and my family, I would never think of using an Airsoft gun. No matter how powerfull it is. My reasoning behind that is, I don't think an Airsoft gun would put someone down like a real gun would. If someone broke in, I want to be confident that I have something that can put someone down if I had to. If your friend thinks he's a bad shot, theirs always lessons you can take to show you how to shoot correctly and more efficiently. Anyway, good luck with your project.

bats are cheaper, and you dont have to load them...

Ultimately though, I think he worries about the though of taking a life.
That's not a big deal for thinking about taking a life. I see alot of "I'm a killer." "I'm hardcore." bullshit.

Nice...he lives in Freeport. At the mobile home park or???? I grew up in Clarksburg terrorizing the surrounding areas and used to work at Peter B's by the mobile home park.. I don't remember what the restaraunt is called now.
converted saiga 12 30rd drum and call it good. Hopefully you cant miss with 30x12gauge rds plus its semi auto. cost about the same as a fully upgraded aeg anyways. Btw this suggestion is only if he lives outside the peoples republic of california. If he lives in Ca he'll have to settle for a 10 rd mag but he can always carry spare mags :D

Your friend needs to fix his mindset before he wastes money on a toy or tool for a job he's not ready to undertake.
I like this version better.

God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
3 of the best suggestions so far:
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.
Now if a burgler comes into your house you will need to have a gun! Watch some midway USA to see how they do their "combat rolls". Also shoot randomly in the direction of the bugler hoping to hit your neighbor.

If he absolutely will not use a real gun, Big5 sells the grown up version of a cap gun. Loads, looks, and sounds like a real revolver. Doesn't shoot a projectile, costs about $45.
OH, don't mind Austin, we let him greet the guests, and then tie him up out back.
Those who replied by saying using an airsoft gun or a BB gun for home defense as a bad idea I totally agree with you. By flashing any object that looks like a gun will threaten a criminal trying to steal from you to counter attack cause you have just made them nervous. I have been robbed at gun point several times, and I do say that your brain is the most important tool you can use to get out of the situation by staying calm to think things carefully under a life & death situation.
What if this person breaking in to your house isnt interested in making off with your personal belongings?
