just got A&K svd. numerous problems out of box.
It's hard to pull back cause of the huge spring inside (which is how it shoots 500 fps). My friend siliconed it, and wore gloves. It takes some practice to do it correctly. the double feeding (for us at least) always resulted from not being able to pull the bolt back correctly in one try due to its tension. Once you are able to do one quick motion it feeds normal. Idk about the last problem though
We shall meet in glorious battle
I'm interested in building an A&K SVD as well. One of the biggest complaints I've heard is that it's hard to pull back. What I'm going to do is convert it over to CO2 powered. I don't have any experience with this kit, but I'd thought I'd share it with you. Good luck with your rifle.
I have purchased many a guns new and used. I bought one A&K gun new a few years back. My total number of A&K purchases to date remain 1. I sold that gun less than a week after purchase. I would guess a few years from now my total A&K purchases will still be 1.
Brett + Retro = Brettro
