Open Carry

Apr 10, 2010 9:36pm
Have any of you guys open carried in the area before? Any problems with LEOs?
Apr 10, 2010 9:41pm
Pretty sure you can't open carry a loaded weapon unless you're in unincorporated areas that the county hasn't banned.

Perhaps he was referring to an unloaded open carry?

You're opening yourself up to being stopped everytime a LEO sees you. Not too mention the average citizen is going to call to report an armed person.

I would recommend that you do not open carry!

Open carry is not smart.

I wasn't planning on OCing anytime soon. I was merely asking if any of you have/what your experience was like.

Open carry Is a very unwise and tactically mentally handicapped idea that is just begging for trouble, if you want to carry so bad take the time to get your CCW and spend the next year coming up with the most infallible reason to carry to your areas Sheriff.

And, in Arizona, people attend Obama rallys with AR's and Shotguns held high. I love that state

Well I know here in the Bay Area you can open carry as long as the weapon is UNLOADED and the ammunition, magazines are on the total opposite side of your body. I know for a matter of fact that there are/were several open carry clubs/groups in San Jose and they would meet at local starbucks and discuss... well I don't know what they discussed. But I also know that a lot of store owners have also banned open carry in their shops. So if you want to open carry you better know all the laws, regulations, and also what places allow open carry in their stores and who does not.

In some counties *cough* Sac *cough* the issuance of CCW permits is quite unjust... unless of course you are a celebrity, have political clout, or have made a sizable donation to the sherrif's campaign. BTW, Sac county residents better vote for a real pro-CCW sherrif this time!!
