original pacific pics

My dad emailed me theses pics from the pacific, it takes awhile to load but its worth it, there pretty interesting

Couple of cool things I noticed in the photos:

The drum magazines on the Thompson was fairly rare, same with the 16" bayonet. Most were cut down to 10" during WW2.

Those were very interesting pictures, it really captured what had happened. I liked the set from Pearl Harbor (well not like, liked it. You know what i mean.....)ha. But it was crazy like seeing the picture of the civilian car just taken out and the battleship crashing down. Very provoking

the picture numbered 22 also has a thompson with a drum magazine.

the B-29 in Photo 70 was piloted by Col. Robert Morgan, and led the first bombing raid on Tokyo He also piloted the B-17 Memphis Belle.
