Had a question... I have a CA M15A4 Carbine, recently upgraded. Needless to say its pretty darned loud. I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to make it a little more quiet? I know there is only so much that can be done, and I don't expect it to be totally silent. I'm just thinking a little decrease in noise volume would be great. Thanks in advance...
How do you mean loud? Does it make a "crack" when you fire, or is it a whinning noise?

You could get a suppressor with foam inserts, and I don't know about this one... But you could surround the gearbox with foam, some guy in Hawaii did it to his P90.

great shimming does wonders....

If you're gonna be at the game tomorrow come find me. I have a suppressor with foam inserts, slap it on a see if it's the effect you're looking for. At least that way you'd know if it's worth your while to try and find one....

I don't think the noise is due to any problem with the way it was upgraded, but if your going to be at the game tomorow at (man down) you can judge for yourself...
Come find me tomorrow (bald black guy -only one there-) and give the suppressor a try. Only down side is that you have a longer barrel to deal with.

I know exactly who you are, we've talked before at previous games. I would like to try the silencer. I've been thinking of getting one. I would like to check the shimming of course. The only problem is that I know pretty much nothing about working on the guns. I am pretty technical (its what I do for a living) so if anyone knows of a good website with instructions or recomendations on how to do this let me know. I do have my manual which has a pretty detailed picture breakdown so I shouldn't have any trouble taking the gun apart. But I know from experience working on anything is based on familiarity and there is always a learning curve....
Also I know that systemas all helical gears are a ton quieter than normal flat gears. I know this probably doesnt help you if you already bought gears but....
you look hungry...how about some bbs?
