The screw that holds the gearbox together is stripped does anyone know how to get it out thanks in advance
there's more than one screw that holds the gearbox together... But best way to get it out of the gearbox is to drill it out. You may want to replace the shell or drill and re-tap the box for a slightly larger screw

I might be able to get access to one
Use a dremel disc to slot it for a flathead screwdriver an get 'er out.
Also Home Depot sells some dohicky Billy Mays advertised that removes stripped screws. It works...although Im a fan of just using a Dremel.
