I am sorry that happened to your friend. These days are ruff and unfortunately the crime is sky rocketing. My first thought after reading your post is there any possible way to get the pepper spray can finger printed??? because if he was stalking houses like that 10 to 1 he already has a record.

err drew nd nic are correct, unless your life or someone else's life is in danger you will go to jail for shooting someone. unless you're in Texas

Unless a resident of the home was home during the time of the robbery/burglarizing there isn't even a reason to bring up "Shooting" a suspected criminal.

One of my good friends lives in Roseville, he got jumped at his appartment earlier this month just walking inside. Luckly he is smart and can fight and knew something was up and he got out of it ok, however others may not be so luckly.
