say if me and my buddy were to go to a sac air event....do you guys ahve teams already made/selected or does it happen out there ??

Usually (and I am pretty new to this group) they split up people in two even teams. Some times they let the new guys pick the teams. Like make two guys captins and let them pick like dodge ball. Other times the orgranizer's ask if anyone wants to run together and then split people up accordingly.

My team and I played one game with the SacAirsoft guys when they went to the Yuba Hill and the guys are great. I was with my little group and they heckled us for a while because we wanted to play as a team but they basically let you roll with the guys you want to and then divide the rest accordingly. All the guys are cool. They will welcome you all with open arms and also give you lots of advice and help on any Airsoft questions you may have. The other game we played they just divided us up by counting off 1, 2, etc. I'm sure you are all welcome to play as long as you are honest and leave all the extra BS at home and not bring it on the field.
