I am only quoting exactly what I heard my dad say. I just thought that the fact that he said that to 7 year old who has not the slitest idea what hes talking about was funny

Ya, that's weird.... Like a 7 year old knew what that meant.

Reminds me of the movie "Mission to Mars" where the guy is talking to a 7 year old kid about the science of rockets and space. Funny stuff....
"Fat guy...... in a ........ little coat!"

Kinda reminds me of a story that happened on Easter. I was over at my parents house fixing my mom's computer, when my two year old niece (who is the coolest kid in the world and very talkative for her age) came in and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was fixing grandma's computer. Of course she asked what was wrong with it. I told her the floppy drive wasn't working (while she proceeded to gaze intently at the pieces I held in my hand). She, of course, asked why... I told her that grandma need her computer. She says, "no, why isn't the floppy drive working?" (2 year's old mind you). So I tell her, "Well the motherboard is not recognizing the floppy drive." She says, "Oh" and sits down to watch me work. A few minute later my sister comes in and askes my niece what's she doing. She tells her "I'm helping JJ fix mimi's (what she calls grandma) computer. The "muferboard" doesn't know the floppy drive...." That's when I realized I had to watch what I say around her.

"funny" Not at all...and to a 7 year old, very sad. Innocence lost.

In my opinion, I don't feel it's amusing to teach past prejudices and close-minded idealogies to today's youth simply to contaminate this world's future with more prejudice. If that made any sense whatsoever.
Tree down. Repeat, tree is down.

I truly think that everyone has a right to their own opinion, just as long as they keep it to themselves.......

there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. my dad is gay and is the best dad I could want. just look at how I turned out! (i'm straight, just for the record)

I don't mean to start a debate! I just thought it was exteamly funny and I laughed. I don't belive that I or anyone else have to tolorate anybody. I think that Homo Sexuality and perversion are the down fall of society. But thats just me. I also think that people that teach there kids that being gay is OK are promoting the problem and endangering their kids. Now all of you are going to scream and yell about how Im wrong and intolerant. But my religion tells me that that being gay is evil and if you cant respect that then you are not very tolerant either!

my dad was in the closet until he was about 37, and he was married to my mom for more than ten years. he was in the closet all his life because his dad was strongly against homosexuality and had a tradition that the first son in every generation would take the family name (Frank). He just didn't want to upset his dad. my dad had three kids, i'm a middle child, and he was married to his partner about five or six years ago, and his partner is really cool too. they aren't like what you expect to see in gays, they don't look gay, they only thing is my dad wears bright colors sometimes and they both have long hair. and kahn, I completely respect your opinion, i was just saying that i think its totally cool to be gay, and even better if you have the courage to come out of the closet after such a long period in time

I don't mind any one who lives there life the way they want to live it. Like it sounds like you father! Its when they make it political and make me have to conform thats all. Its like Smokers I dont Smoke but hell I don't care if you do just leave me out of it. And if I want to teach my kids not to smoke then so be it!

Sure, you may not have meant to start a debate, but you know that homosexuality is a hot issue these days.

i knew it would start something, but that was a risk i was willing to take chance to try and change some peoples views and just to express my opinion. if this develops into a debate, i'm not gonna take part, because i feel i have no needs to back up my opinion any further
May 6, 2005 5:50am
I don't think people are born gay! with that being said I have said all I need to say! I will continue to belive what I belive becuase their way of life threatens mine!

Organized religion has been mostly used as a tool of control and oppression, I dont trust it.
