I am currently waiting for AEX to get in their Prometheus barrels. My question is:

Barrel upgrades?

I believe it's supposed to, but I am no expert. I do know with a tighter barrel, you can't use any cheap-o bbs. If you do, they'll just jam on you which you don't want.

I can't tell the difference. I just use Systema BS and save some money.

According to Erik at Tsunami, Prometheus barrels are great but the barrel needs to be cleaned thoroughly. I've bought two and they are extremely dirty when they come from the factory. I've used a micrometer on both the KM TN (the TN means teflon coated...NOT Titanium) and the Prometheus and the diameter in relatively the same. As to fps increase I've seen little difference but I think the prometheus produces tighter groups on full auto.

Like I said, just pick up a Systema. They only cost between $250-$30 for a normal length barrel. (Pay less for MP5K and more for the PSG-1)

A Systema BS barrel runs 6.04mm and Prometheus barrel run 6.03. If you want more fps the logical choice would be to run a tighter bore. I think the $250-30 cost reference was a typo...but Glenn at Palmer Pursuit could probably machine you a titanium barrel at that price.

I don't know about micrometers and all that but yes they do have a smaller diameter.

Prometheus barrels suck a$$.....had one.....sucked....not as accurate as my KM TN Barrel's and noticed 0 increase in fps or accuracy.
