So i know there are several of these mods that can be had on a mechbox, like....
I have cut off the last tooth on the piston to increase cycle rate, a few others do it.

AOE is smart to do with all setups no mater what. Also on top of shaving the piston you add plastic washer to the piston head so the sector engages the piston pick up tooth fully. The reason why your pick up tooth and first couple of teeth crap out is cause of improper engagement.
I turn M14s into M1 Garands... does that count. Haha.
