Seems like it only applies to the gbb of the rifles. but most likley they will ban the companies instead of the individual rifles. It's weird that anyone would want to rape there real m16 to convert into a m4 just for the sake of aesthetics. But the funniest part is, is that they pretty much tell you how to do it.

This is old news hence why the atf seized the guns in the beginning, the atf simply officially ruled on the matter.

This is like the Asahi M40 story from japan years ago. Where you could convert it to a real steel .22 rifle. I'd say better get your hands on one of these, cuz maybe they might actually ban them.

The problem is not so much ATF calling the fire arms, but with the full auto sear pin and the selector is cut for FA.... Now that batf had classified them as fire arms..... Now they can be considered machine guns.....possesion of a unlicenced machine gun is 10 years or so. Now before you get all crazy and blow that off, 8 years ago Interordance sold a bunch of ppsh 41 parts kits. The recievers were only torch cut 2 times instead of 3 times which batf requires. The receivers were totaly usless, but in the eyes of batf they were machine guns. They went to the homes of EVERY one that bought a kit, and confiscated the reciever scraps.

I'm not surprised at all. I ordered a foam core silencer a year ago and it was seized too. Sometimes I think they go after things like this just to make it look like they're doing something. Taking our stuff is certainly easier and cheaper than going after anything else. And it doesn't seem like anyone is in the mood to stand up for us or our rights at the moment.
OH, don't mind Austin, we let him greet the guests, and then tie him up out back.
While I'm not surprised, it does give me some sense of worry. Not, Its not the worry that airsoft will become a banned sport, but because we, like it was suggested before, that the companies will decide not to do business in the united states.
