This is a preliminary review of the new SOE Combat Cock, I will update this review after using the CC in the field but for now this will serve to the uninitiated as a reference as to whether or not the SOE CC should be included in their load-out.

Today I took the CC out in the field. As you can see the color is a perfect match for my OD vest.

Excellent. Have you noticed any improvement in performance since you starting using the Combat Cock?

Improvements? I'll say so, definitely! My target acquisition speed has improved, I'm much more stealthy in the bush and I have greater staying power to get the mission done.

Over the weekend I had the chance to take my CC out to a night game. It, again, performed flawlessly and drew many, many jealous stares from the noobs in attendance. There was a video cameraman running around and he got a close-up of the CC in action. I'll try and find a link to his video this week.
