The Cock & armored truck @ the hostage scene today....this was the only real good pic of the day. Was too busy fending off citizens who wanted to ask me a hundred questions.

So, on the news the first night there was an officer in sshirt ant tie discussing what was happening. He talked about them throwing a flash bang into the house to "gauge the hostage taker's response". I'm not an expert, but that doesn't sound like a great way to defuse a situation. Is this a common hostage negotiating technique I just haven't ears of? You'd think Denzel would have employed it at some point if it were.

I think they just have a big box of explosive shit and make a plan up as they go along.
