John and I went out to the sideyard to fire his Sniper Rifle, my G36C, and my KJ P14 pistol.

Bring it to Glenn. I have an idea or two of what it is, but for a problem like this, there's no real way to diagnose your problem without actually having the gun there.

Hey Darkcobra, is that true that NiCds pack more of a punch? I just threw in a 120 and have noticed a considerable lack of juice using a 1700mah Nimh. Thinking about throwing the 100 back in.

Depends on the NiMH. When you start using GoldPeak or KAN cells, you won't see much difference between NiMH and NiCD. I believe the GP cells can crank out a good 25A sustained discharge rate. Most guns upgraded to an M120 only draw around 15A-18A...

Thanks, right now the battery I'm using has only a generic cardboard outer wrapping, so I'm not sure what type it is. But I would imagine it is not a high quality cell, and would explain the drop in performance.

Before my gun was upgraded, I noticed that a 600 NiCd battery was more stronger and produced a higher ROF than an 1100 Nmh battery. Of course it doesn't last as long but it fires stronger.

the # (mah) of a battery, as you pointed out Rsynd, has no effect on the power the battery has, the mah signifies the ammount of charge it can hold.

I know when the battery is dead because you start to get that "Halfshot" when you press the trigger.

Hrm. Is this gun upgraded or stock? If it's upgraded, I'll bet the switch needs to be cleaned. (Happens when someone gets overzealous and packs the gearbox with lubrication.) If not, I'll still bank on a poor contact between the switch and selector plate. That's a pretty easy fix.
