What happens if you buy something through paypal, but not through ebay and its defective. Is there any way i can get my money back if the seller is not cooperating.

yeah you can file a paypal dispute if its within 40 days i believe..I can't remember exactly where on paypal it is. But if you click around enough you'll find the button to file a dispute

Paypal's "seller/buyer protection" is a sham. It's designed to look like it offers solid protection but it doesnt really. If you know how to work it, there's nothing you can do to prevent being scammed - even with Paypal.
