TM Famas- Opinions?
I'm helping my folks play santa clause this year for my youngest brother who still lives with them. He's 14, and he's in the "wanna be unique" phase, so he's expressed interest in the TM Famas.
I'm sorry, was that your face?!
it might be more comfortable for him to wind up front instead of in the back using hi-caps? just my .2 cents.
"it's Easier to destroy than to create."
Yah, I thought of that too. But he says he doesn't mind it.

no replacement parts, gear box is bitch to work on.
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
Do not buy it.

Thanks guys. You pretty much just confirmed my own coclusion. It seemed youtube reviews came in two catagories; legitimate reviews that call it like you guys did, and teenagers doing the "look at me" thing...
I'm sorry, was that your face?!
Unique guns = p90, aug, uzi, sig series, fal, g3 (kinda).
All good ideas. But I think I'm going to try to talk him into a G36.

Yes except the total is going to come out to about 320. Unless you use promo code : c897r4rh. Then itll be about 280. But still thats not cheap

We're probably going to go with a CA or TM. He's already gone through his cheap starter gun. It all depends on how generous "Santa" is feeling this year.

Either that, or the G36C. But yah, it think thatll work! Heck, if I didn't love my SCAR, that's what I'd get! And its not an M4 or AK, so it'll fitt the "unique" bill.

Just thought I'd real quick say this (even though we've moved past the famas), that the JP Famas (newest version) is actually really good. In my opinion better than the TM. It comes stock with metal bushings and spring guide and is compatible with version 3 parts. Works quite well too. Just thought I'd say in case his heart is set on a Famas. Plus you'd have tons of extra money to spend on accessories/upgrades. I believe there is a metal lower reciever version too
We shall meet in glorious battle
Actually you should look at the Umarex G36's they look awesome
No go on the FAMAS for sure. Team mate of mine has one and its been broken for years. Once it break its pretty much done for. we took it AEX and they couldn't do anything with it. I still want to take a crack at it though.
