Well you need to make sure what slots you have available. The Radeon HD 3000 includes integrated cards. Which means you may have to turn it off in the bios when installing the new card. Can you link me to the PC you bought?

If you are wanting a better gaming experience I would shy away from that cheep-o card. I would invest in something a little better. According to PassMark, the card only made it into the low end spectrum. The only highest playable settings for SCII on my machine is everything on high but all shadows on medium. I am running an ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO. You should probably get a card that is a bit more powerful than mine.

yea its a good card for the price. I still would like a better card though in the future. What kind of CPU is he using? A good CPU will make a huge difference too because SCII is a very CPU demanding game compared to most. But, yea, this card will make the biggest change in his performance.

He posted his PC in a link. He's got an Athlon X2 2.8gh, it's decent, but I would upgrade to the Athlon X4 later or maybe even a better model if money permits it.

How do you find the CPU? yeah i had the choice between this and the x4, but my dumb best buy credit card capped at $500 so i had to settle for this since i also had to get a monitor. are you able to upgrade to x4? i was told you had to buy a whole new computer for that.
