I'd like to start setting up plans for a Night Game on August 28th "Saturday".

Well it's looking more and more like the Hill will be the venue. I was hoping we could get some parents or non-players to watch the cars. Depending on how many volunteers we can get we'll definitely rotate. Just trying to figure out how we could do it, so everyone wouldn't have to walk all the way down the hill and back up each time.

I do not know what my schedule will be that far out;

If you are planning your game to work within the area of the large tree house and the bunkers that you built to the south of it, then that should keep everyone in one general area. We can set up a soft beacon light by the river road just south of the "Y" that will not illuminate the field in any way but will give everyone a bearing of where to go at the end of the game or if they are lost where to find the way back to the parking lot. After the game we can turn up the intensity and cause it to flash for even better visibility.

I was hoping the warm up game would be a good attraction for anyone who had to do the security. In essence let them get some trigger time, before taking up a position over the cars. Then after the big game, do another small one and send someone else down to relieve them. So someone or someone(s) would miss the big game, but get to enjoy the two smaller ones.

you got it, if i am free that weekend ill know when it gets closer, and ill give you ample time if i can or cannot attend.

IF AT all possible my buddy and i doing the security would like to play at least one game, he doesnt/has not ever played so id like to take him out and show him what we do. then after that im down to do the security for the rest of the night and have no problems with it at all.

Totally! If we can get a couple of volunteer security, we can have you guys just decide who wants to play which games.

definitely, i dont have to play to be honest and dont mind running a security detail to watch our shit, more importantly your shits. no worries, and yes about the bbq, have to gauge the peps coming on out. i dont mind funding the BBQ, but it would be nice to get the funds back as well and i have a small BBQ grill that i can bring out.

I'm down for helping plan this. I have about 6-8 people coming out and being that for most of them this is their first night game I want it to be something they'll talk about for months to come.

You mentioned having the drag body. I was wondering about simply adding it in as a secondary objective. In addition to capturing the three bases, set the dummy up at one of them as a prisoner the invading team is attempting to capture. Kinda the primary focus of the scenario.

I was literally just thinking the exact same thing just now.

Right now, it appears as if I will be working Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 20:00 to 06:00 (+/- 15 minutes).

It appears as if GALT has just announced a NIGHT GAME for this same night.

Screw galt. I have about 5 Paladin's, several friends. Plus Spock's bunch. Anyone else can tag along. Unless something else happens between now and then, I'm still planning to host the game.

Awesome... sometimes I get the feeling that they TRY to compete with Sacair on game dates. It seems like when we host a large or complex game suddenly something interesting pops up at Galt.

I have no doubt they are doing exactly that... Luckily small games are my favorite. I just hope we can get someone to bring out their camera for pictures.

When I got that email it just really pissed me off. We've had this thing listed for over a month and a half and suddenly they 'decide' to host one of their own?

lol GALT....guys guys.srsly galt is NOT competition, you know what if the people want to go to a Galt game then so be it, let them pay and play while we can just play with what we got. have some fun on a bigger scale with a smaller group, no problems.

Alrighty folks, I need a volunteer to run a Burger King convoy. Be there around 4:30 leave by 4:45ish?

No volunteers so my convoy will just be leaving later and we will make a sweep through the burger king to pick anyone up. I'd like to get to the field around 5:30-5:45

I'll bring my camera.
