Hey guys. I am planning on getting more into airsoft, like going to a few small ops and then eventually going to the multiday larger ones. I need some advice on a back up rifle. I already have a KWA SR10 and i am looking into something a bit shorter then that. Do I need a back up at this time or wait till I get to the bigger ops? I would like to stay with ARs so i dont have to buy new mags but i am open to any suggestions.
If you aren't sure, I'd recommend just going into AEX and checking out the gear throw a vest you like up on the counter and start matching pouches. What works for one person may not work for another. I run a basic plate carrier with a couple of pouches, other have 7 days of ratio's strapped to their back for a 30 minute game and others are basically naked.

if you want a small ar15 some brands have the m4 pistols. also there is the cqb stubby killer that several brands also have. just look around online. i would recommend the mp5k or p90 though. just my type of guns :)

Kinda silly to down grade from a KWA SR10 to a JG stubby. You are already comfortable with a 2gx, why not consider the SR5 or the newer SR7 DEVGRU?

hes just looking for a secondary aeg/backup gun. hes not getting rid of his sr10.
I understand it's a second AEG. I'm just asking why own a high quality AEG and a mediocre quality AEG? He is obviously not afraid to spend a few bucks on a good gun, he owns a SR10. I was just giving him some ideas on some higher quality options. In case he wanted a secondary as nice as his first.
