I'm not really an automotive technician but from my experience, I drive an Integra and ever since I did the mods to it, I save more gas the faster I drive. Don't ask me but that's how my car is. Then again, my car has an upgraded CPU.

lol with the kind of badass hardware you roll could prob trade a couple guns for a GSXR  you have some gnarly guns man

Unless you get into actual fuel remapping or you actually start driving your car differently, those mods shouldn't make any difference in your mpg

Volumetric power upgrades = bad mileage

Dude, I couldn't even make heads or tails from all those calculations, hahaha. I thought I was pretty mathematically versed??? Wrong.....

There's always spark efficiency. I don't know what's available for that thing though nor am I familiar with the ignition system.

if you put on the intake or use a stock style k&n Filter you should see a little better milage ... the more free flowing airfilter makes it run leaner because the cpu has set up the fuel maps for a more restrictive airfilter.

Stan....your as wrong as two left shoes, lets see some proof lol

well I was needing to replace my old muffler on my F150 so I went with the Flowmaster 50 series and the cat back i had uped to a 3". But just had it done on monday so it will be a little bit before i'll notice any differnce in my mileage. I'll keep you updated when i go for a fill up.

Sorry, thermal efficiency. I've been messing with boost for so long that all thermal efficiency is in terms of adiabatic efficiency to me...

Another thing you could do Joel is inflate your tires to the maximum allowable (what ever is stated on the sidewall). You could even run 10 psi higher if you feel comfortable with it. When I have my good wheel on, they're blown up to 52 psi.

Although I don't do that for gas mileage. I don't want to bend a wheel. On a good day, my car get's 11 mpg. Economy is non existent in that car.

ok so i haven't seen much of a diffrence with the flowmaster cat back right now. still want to try a couple more fill ups to get a good balance on economy.
