Support Role?
I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I seemed to have had an idea that I wanted riddiculed and mocked. The idea in question is that I would load up an assault pack with a whole bunch of the most common magazines, (Ak, M4, G36, ect.) and be a mobile resupply guy in the field. I would assume it would be rather heavy, and impracticle in small fields like CQB City, but on multi- day events or big fields with a huge walk, it seems like it would be a plus to have someone willing to loan out mags to save you an annoyingly long walk just to refill your mags. Anyway, that was my thought, let the riddiculing begin.

Hum, depends. I could see it being kinda cool if you had a group of guys that you always played with... and they all had the same style of gun. And you were doing a milsim kinda thing... but for normal sacair games I just don't see how it would work well. It would be a pain to carry around a bunch of differant mags for differant guns and what not. And I have a feeling you'd get a lot of magazines lost by people and it would get annoying real fast not getting to shoot people yourself.

That is the kind of rig I run, except I only carry m4 mags, however I have about 30/35 Star 30 Rounders in the rig, they all fit comfy.

I have to agree with harry apple, unless your running with the same group using the same AEG, it seems more like a pain in the neck. Good idea in a large milsim style game, skirmishes not so much.

Get yourself a bunch of little cardboard boxes, print out stickers with various round sizes on them. Fill them with ammo, and give them to people on the field. They can then give you a few bucks for a box of ammo. If you did it for cost, you'd be everyone's new best friend.

better off playing a solid aw role and providing support thru fire power so the other guys can conserve their ammo and advance

Or you can just do what I do, carry a dump pouch with 2 bags of bb's. a large speed loader, and your hands. Easy enough you reload your own shizzle. With a speed loader takes what...5 seconds?? I dont know Id rather do that than have some guy huffing and puffing with a shit load of mags rattling around giving away my not so hidden position.
