Contemplating new AEG...

So, I'm going to be adding to my arsenal here in the next month or so, and I'm torn between two very good options. Its just that one of those options might require a certain amount of upgrading. I've noticed that a lot of the LMG style AEGs are now not only for the rich and famous. For example, one may now pirchase a classic army M249 from AEX for less than $500 (stock). At other retailers, I have found similar AEGs for even less. My question is- how much more do I need to do to

how high an FPS do you want for both guns?

As close to 400 fps without going over as possible. The smg I have my eye on does 380-stock.

I've never really taken the time to find out what is "fast" for ROF. Basically, I want the max potential for my 11.1 volt lipo battery. I've seen streams of bbs that look like silly string coming out of the barrel of some SAW gunners' weapons, I would like the same.

Wow. I had no idea all that went into it. What's this angle of engagement adjustment, and how is it done?

Holy hell that was fast! And it looks like its a standard ver 2 gearbox, that's the one I learned on. The internals shouldn't be too hard to do myself, and that cuts cost too... I must say, I'm leaning that way!
