Ok, so I purchased an AK74mn, and it only takes an 8.4 mini type battery, would it strain the internals if I put a 7.2 lipo in it instead of an 8.4? I only need the 8.4's ROF, but want the lipo's battery life. In addition, can I change Traxxas connectors to Tamiya?

no changing to a 7.2 lipo wont hurt anything. as long as your gonna change the connector you might as well change to deans connectors especially if you plan on using lipo
Great, do you know where I can get a lipo for cheaper than 40$? I do't want to spend anything over that at the moment.

I can get you brand new lipos for $15 each and a great charger for $40. The charger will charge lilo lipo life nimh nicd, and it comes with a built in balancer
