I have seen in more than one occasion where rocks/pebbles have gotten in between the serpa's retention device & the pistol.

LOL Ray I have had that also happen at the old CQB field. I dove in to a rock pile and came up to pull my pistol and it was stuck....I had to take of the holster and use a cleaning rod to remove the rock that was jambed in there to free my pistol.

Drew shot me in the sphincter.....he shot me in the brown eye when I tried to block a BB with my foot. Ever seen a guy go up a flight of stairs hopping on one leg? It was not one of my finest moments.

Reason being is that the release button is usually in-line with the trigger guard.
