I just got a CA G36C and Im using a Nicad battery um... 8.4V 600mah. So I charge the battery for about 5-6 hours. when I go to shoot the gun I only get about 1 high-cap mag (470 rounds) out of it. so then I charge it for about a day and a half. I go to shoot it again and only get about 2 high-cap mags out of it and when i took the battery out of the gun it was hecka hot. am i doing something wrong or do i have a crap battery?

i just got a 9.6 mah last night and i charged it for about 2 hours with an auto charger. it works for about 8 hours then loses its power SLOWLY. i'd upgrade to a 9.6 and charge for about 2 hours. u definately overcharged ur 8.4

Hey, first of all, I like your choice on the gun you bought. LOL, I have one also but the TM version. As for the battery, ya the 600 mah batteries don't last too long, especially if you are heavy on the trigger and charging it longer doesn't help it out either, especially if you are using a charger that doesn't have the peak feature(most wall chargers). I would invest in a good charger that gives you a rough estimate on how many mah were charged. I myself have the TLP, TL-15 model charger and can easily show you how many mah were charged. As for upgrading the battery in a G36C you'll have to buy a larger foregrip to house larger batteries. You can also go with an 8.4V 1100 mah mini battery. Try that and see if it lasts a little longer.

Thanx for all the input. If I got a 8.4V 1100 mah mini, would I still have to get a bigger foregrip? should I go with a nicad or a nimh?

Ya, if you don't go through at least 3 hi caps with an 1100mah battery then I would speculate that the gun has problems in some way but I keep forgetting that you have a CA G36C, which is higher than a stock TM. Like Neouser said, I think the mini batteries goes as high as 1100 and it's a nimh. By using a mini you don't have to upgrade the foregrip, it fits just like your 600 mah battery. My stock TM G36 could go through at least 5 hi caps before needing to change batteries but then again, I'm not heavy on the trigger. So good luck and hope all our input helps.

IM SO PISSED WITH THIS BATTERY!!! ok, so I just charged the battery and started to put it in my gun. sparks came flying out of where the wire meets the batt then it started to smoke. did I do something wrong? all I did was plug the dang thing in. O yea, and I just got this batt 3 weeks ago from AEX.

stripped maybe? i had a batery once hat wouldnt fire, then i opened up the foregrip and tightened the battery down. the battery shocked the crap out of me! literally... i think u need a new battery, this one causing u too much grief.
