Last I checked gas shotguns were not known for their reliability. If it must be gas I think Maruzen or Marushin used to make them but good luck finding one. If you just want a shotgun spring is your best bet and I think any that are 3 round ones are all decent quality.

and dont all the maruzen take the shells thats eject after each shot? i had a maruzen m1100 defender,it was a pretty cool lil spilunker piece but not too effective during a game with each shell be ejeecting after each shot..even though it was bad ass though haha

maruzen shotties come in two variations, sprjng and gas. the spring ones are single shot only which defeats the purpose of a shot gun really. theyre more like mini sniper rifles and can get very accurate when upgraded. the gas ones are fun, but not really skirmish worthy. to get enough range out of them you need to convert them to co2 if you want to load any more than three to a shell. co2 will break the bolt of an 1100 eventually. the 870 is fine with co2 in the long run though. you will need a brass catcher too as to not lose your shells. tanaka makes a gas 870 which is good to go out of box and takes multiple different shells. range is good with 4+ bbs out of box. the shells are expensive though because they house the actual gas kind of like a mini m203. you would need a brass catcher for this as well if you plan on skirmishing. the tokyo marui and chinese clone shotties do not use ejectable shells and shoot 3 rounds per shot fixed. they have fine range out of box but their groups are much tighter that what a shotgun is meant to deliver as they have 3 different inner barrels jnstead of the aforementioned shotties which have one. but skirmishing wise, they are the most practical. shells are cheap, no brass catcher needed. they com in the benelli and spas models. marushin and its chinese clones make the mossberg 500. it is gas and can shoot up to 5 bbs per shot if i remember correctly. no shells, just an internal magazine. it is hard to find the original maurshins anymore, esp in 6 mm and not 8 mm. they are skirmish ready out of bix with good range and spread. no upgrades needed. the clones have a reputation of breakint have having bad seals so buyer beware. personally i have owned or shot all except the tanaka. i would recommed a tm or marushin for beginners. having a brass catcher on your gun is a drag. its noisy and bulky.

gas causes fluxuations in FPS depending on gas and temp.....not perdictable....+seal problems....
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
