Friend badly injured.
One of my dearest friends was badly injured Friday afternoon and is in ICU in a coma. He was helping a stranger put chains on there car when a jeep lost control and spun into him. It hit him from behind and he got sandwiched between the jeep and his truck. He has bleeding in his brain, broke his neck in three places, crushed his pelvis, shattered his wrist and hand. He has major head trauma and is still in a coma, we really won't know the extant of any brain damage or motor skill loss until he wakes up.

I went to school with this guy since well way back in the day. We were friends back in school I even remember doing some class projects with him. He is an awesome guy. I remember back in high school he would go up to 3 mile grade with his dad and brothers on HIghway 80 and help the flat lander put on chains. I am praying really hard for him. Major sucky situation, Josh is awesome.
Went and saw him today. He's still in a coma but is slowly waking up. He was moving a lot, reacting to the pain which is a very good sign actually. He is stable enough that they are going to do surgery on his pelvis and hips Thursday.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope the sciences the Dr.'s have available can help him recover fully.

Just got home from visiting Josh, he's doing great. I can't believe it. Anyone else would have died on the side of the road 4 months ago, but this morning we sat and talked about trucks and camping and stuff like normal. He's got a long way to go, but I really think he'll be OK. He is able to walk, he was pretty much himself just a little slower as he just had the trac out two weeks ago and just was able to start talking again. Just two months ago the DRs thought he'd be in a coma for over a year. I was so happy to get to have a conversation with my friend for the first time in almost 5 months. He gets to come home next week.

Very sorry to hear this, brother. Prayers will be with everyone impacted by this tragedy.

Wow, seems like a great recovery! I don't know him but that is an awful thing to happen to anyone, I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
Josh showed up at my house!!!! He came home from the rehab center last night and wanted to come see me. His mom drove him over and we had a nice visit for a while. Totally made me want to cry a little to finally get to see him outside the hospital for the first time since Nov 9th.
