Earlier today, in what was a lack of judgement situation, I tried field stripping my gg umg. As far as I can tell, I snapped off the air nozzle, and now of course it won't fire. Where could I get a new nozzle in sac and can I fix it myself? I really don't have the money to pay a repairman.
Snapping an air nozzle doesnt sound feasible. If you have a camera, take a picture of whats broken, along with the area you think it came from. Aex has extra air nozzles, as well as 75% as the members on this forum. Fixing the gun isnt relatively all that hard, as long as you take your time and double check every step. Im sure if you were to bring it to a game, a member would fix it for you as long as you had lunch waiting for him.
I'm not see how to post pics onto the forum. I'm pretty darn sure it's the air nozzle. http://www.airsoftgi.com/mobile/product_info.php?products_id=4348 that's the part
The air nozzle is connected to the tappet plate. Its more likely that you busted the tappet plate than the nozzle though.
Use a picture hosting site such as tiny url, and take the link and paste. Either that or use the search function on the website. I wouldnt rule out a tappet plate failure, but those arent common and usually break where the flange meets the gear in high rof set ups. Only one way to find out though.....
I ended up trading for a gg cm mp5 with a bunch of extras. He said it works now that he had aex replace the nozzle and piston.
