I was just thinking about this before I clicked on this thread. I miss those days, I think part of the problem is Sacair got far too elitist and also mods and admins would lock threads very quickly if they thought there was going to be a flame war.

I got rid of most of my ww2 stuff, but I still have my Garand/m14 and my Thompson. Both worked fine, just need to get some batteries and get off my ass...

Pay to play fields didn't help much either. Back when I first started the only way to Airsoft in this area was to play at Sacair games. CQB city wasn't even around yet.

Ironic how once the hobby got really mainstream many of you who helped pioneer it (at least in the sacramento area) pretty much all quit or took very long leaves of absence.
