Good gawd, this board is getting unusable

May 24, 2005 4:38pm
Public threads seem to be quickly contaminated with inane comments by new users, and it's too hard to conduct conversations with groups of people using PMs.

I feel that the board is running as smooth as it's gonna get. I mean, it's not only the newbies that are polluting the boards. Some veterans out there are doing the same thing... It's all in fun, and that's what SacAirsoft is all about... I do understand what you are saying but then how many people out there would be annoyed that they can't get to certain areas of the site?? ->Lots

The forums is pretty much open for everyone to use...so long as nothing "controversial" is posted, we're all happy campers. The forum is full of shiznit though...you'll just have to filter em out. If it does not look interesting, you don't have to click on it.

Guess I just wasn't in the mood for all the shiznet today when I logged on. Just seems like it's been especially bad these last few days.

I'm not sure I understand what he is referring to as contamination and what threads are unreadible. I enjoy the wild threads that have come up and those I find dumb I just avoid.

I agree the threads have gone a bit off the deep end lately, which has also increased traffic.
Ray's got the MOVES!

hahah sacairsoft has never changed.... some of the oldies and admins use to post under fake names and talk shit about the newbies... that was when the forums were purple.

I've only been playing airsoft for about 3 or so months. In the very short time I've played with you guys even I have noticed a major increase in people at the games. I think with any group when the activity becomes more popular and lots of people join in there are "growing pains".
It's not that new people are bad or anything--I was new too once--it's just that I don't know the ethics of the new recruits. Are they gonna call their hits? Are they gonna be careful with my safety and not shoot too close, try to keep their shots low? But that's a different topic.
