Great posts everyone, except for michaeld's. Sorry mike. But how about we keep this thread on a serious note.
Gonna stay out of this for a bit and see where it goes.
Well .... I have yet to make it out to a game with you guys so far. hope to soon... some of the stuff That I am seeing is a lot of the same crap that in part made me quit paintball.
The issue with losing CP wasn't about the number of players. The guy (and his mother) who owned the property really just stopped being responsive as in no response at all after the cops talked to us. Looks like CP is for sale now, so it might have been a change in hands of the property.... so the old owner wasnt the one who cared anymore..
I showed up to my first SacAir game back in February, up on the hill. There were 40 or 50 people there, it seemed, and I thought that was pretty cool. I also thought it was typical. I see now that it really wasn't, it was just the rising tide of new guys (a lot of people I talked to that day mentioned it was their first game) coming out to play with an established group.
So im hearing we need some sort of SacAir mentor program for noobs? Like masters and apprentices?

That program would only work if people can set aside thier egos and admit to being new.
what about a big non violent meeting, kick it, bbq thing?

It might be a good idea for the head honchos to have training exercises for the newbs, that way they learn the rules and engagements from experienced players. Might be a good way to get to know everyone thats new a little better also. And if a newbs ego is too big to learn the rules then maybe that newb shouldn't play. I for one as a newb would not mind such a lesson, I think it would be a good way to learn the rules and proper engagement. Such an exercise may help reduce mistakes made in the field during combat. And if refs are to be employed then I,(after learning all the rules compoletely),would not mind sitting a game or so out to ref. I just want to play some airsoft and have fun.

Hrm. Sounds like everyone would like to have a meet and greet day, with no playing. That actually seems like a good idea. A Sacairsoft community event. I'm down.
wait wait. It sounds to me like people want to see my chicken legs. Fook me skinny =-( Enough Sacair BBQ though and I am sure to fatten right up.
on a serious note though. One that is very hard for me take this early on a Sat.
That sounds pretty cool. If my wife and kid can come, I'm in
