First timer upgrade questions...

Ok, I just picked up a TM G3SAS. I'm really happy with it as the second AEG I have purchased. I would like to upgrad it slightly though... what do I mean by "slightly" you ask? Well, according to what I've read it shoots about 275-285 fps stock. I would like to move it a bit closer to 350 fps. I just want a little more kick. I also want to do the upgrade myself and will probably need a little help.

I'll do it. We just have to work out a time. The G3SAS is actually a really easy gun to work on. (Actually, all of the G3 series is pretty easy to work on.)

Is a G3SAS a v2 gearbox or v3? Not that it really matters for an M100, but I was just curious.

I believe the G3 is a version 2 gearbox. And as for upgrading, I put an M100 in my G3SAS and I'm only getting 310-315fps. Maybe an M110 would boost it up, but here comes the problem. Since the small space, battery issues arise but you have so many options I hear now. Well for the G3SAS, this is what you can do for batteries. Since mine is not shooting that hot, a mini 8.4V 1100mah can still run it.

Ok, I did end up putting on a G&G solid stock and with Neousers help did the upgrade (thanks dude). I put an M100 spring and metal bushings. Works great. Before the upgrade it chronoed at 270 fps, after 330fps. Although at the CQB game it on one shot chronoed at 351! :shock: Anyways, pretty happy with the way it is working... here's the pic with the solid stock and for-grip.
