I haven't played in years, so I haven't kept up with brands much really. However, my friend is trying to find an electric rifle for around $100, he's open to all kinds. I told him this was a pretty low budget and he understand that, so he told me it's somewhat flexible. He does not have a battery or charger so if it came with one awesome, but if not he's okay buying them separately later. Thanks for the help guys and it's awesome to see this community still alive.

AEG's that are at $100 are the lancer tacticals and those don't have the best reputation. Cyma ak's are also decent for around $100ish. A good AEG to start with are the combat machines and those are $150ish.
entry level good deals are Cyma AK's and G&G combat machines.....ak or m4....I have owned all, and still play with my stock G&G ak.....20,000 rounds and counting...1 new hop, 2 new batteries, replaced the mag release lever bolt ($3 ace hardware)....still going....
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
I find the AEX brand guns work pretty well, and the MK18 Tactical is pretty loaded to the top with upgrades for a fair price... $180 if you can go for it.
