Hello,

Get yourself some Thunder Power 7.4v 2100 mah lithium polymer packs. They fit perfectly and will perform like a 9.6v NiCD. Get an extra hi-cap, an M100, and a set of mettle bushings and you're set to go. Most slings that work on the MP5 will also work on the G36C.

Well, the first question is that, what kind of upgrade do you want? If you want high power like in the 400 fps range, ya that battery won't last. Now if you want a decent 300 and above, an M100-M110 should do the trick and I think the battery will last but not that long. To get better battery life, go with Lithium Polymer or you can buy a larger front foregrip which can house large 8.4V 3300 batteries. You could also buy a battery bag if you desired but it's kinda makes the gun ugly. As for your sling, buy any sling for your gun, you don't have to buy a TM G36C sling, I myself run a 3 pt sling. Any type of sling should work, just depends on your preferance.

Alright thanks guys, As for the spring I think im going to aim for he 330ish FPS mark so I can do outdoors and CQB, but im sort of thinking of trying for 400(the limit at NAM is 450 right?) because I prefer outdoors way better. When I used to do Paintball I HATED speedball.

Neouser is the knowledgable one with the lithium polymer. I was going to invest in them but it just seems too expensive right now. You can actually do a search online if you wanted.

Last i remembered the rules were 400FPS with .20G BBs for outdoor non CQB play, 350FPS for CQB with .20G BBs

if you're gonna run any upgrade I'd go with the Lithium that Neouser posted about. Or go with one of the 3000-3300 Mah Nimhs. but the gun will get front heavy with the large Batteries. The Lithium is about the same if not less than the mini batteries. And the same size to boot. The only disavatages to the Lithiums is that they cost about $50 a piece and you'll need a good charger which will be over $100 for it. But a good charger will last through many guns, the charger that I have will charge: Nimh, Nicd, and Lithium batteries so you'll be able to charge any of the batteries you'll use. As for getting the Lithium packs they're for sell at the RC hobby shops, I got mine ant Airborne Hobbies on College Oak near Madison.

Ok hmm... I probably have about $500 tops to spend on a gun and it looks like i'll have to spend almost $200 of that on batteries and a charger, and it doesn't leave much room for extra gear and mags... are there any other ways i can upgrade the battery without spending a boatloads on a foregrip(saw one on uncompany for $180 and that was just for extra RAS)?

Ok hmm... I found some 9.6v batteries for the G36C, but it requires alot of cutting and soudering which I dont have the experience or tools for.

Besides a mini battery, M4's can take 9.6v 1700/ 1800mah nun-chuck or v-shaped/u-shaped batteries.
