It's been banned in Kalifornia before. It was either 1988 or 1989. Don't think it can't happen. Falls under replica gun laws.

SIgned it baby......Hopefully it wont get banned over here.I have a feeling it will though...THere are stories on the socal forums about kids that play in ILLEGAL fields. Some of them got caut and went to Juvie..Man,thats just another rip on the airsoft sleeve..I mean, just be smart, use common sense, and dont play on PRIVATE PROPERTY...Be considerate.Know that theres like millions of other airsofters in your state, and dont ruin it for us...

Just so everyone knows, the law actually hasn't been passed yet. I posted on this topic but I don't know how many people saw it.

That really sucks... but here in the good old USA we have something that might help, the NRA... I have contacted them and awaiting their response, I shall post what they say when I hear from them...

Don't count on too much help from the NRA. They're only concerned with rights for real steel and will view airsoft as an offshoot that only brings bad publicity when they have other things already as their focus

Ya, I am a poly sci major (dubble major) and I have taken hella classes on European politics. Lets just put it this way, THEY BANNED FOX HUNTING about 3 mouths ago. Something that to the british upper class that would be like banning Boxing or The WWE here, so I really woun't put it passed the Limey bastards. Plus the Labor party took a big hit in last mouth's Parlamtary elections and only barrely control the House of Commons and The Tories would be retarded to blow what little poltical capital they have on this issue. Though I think this website has a good idea of not just saying "NO NO don't ban Airsoft" like how alot of gun nuts do here in the US. But they have set out a list of COMPROMISES that are very resonable and have atlest the air of being responsable sportsman.

I used to own a couple of firearms back when I was about 21, 22 years old. That was right before that jackass shot up a few kids in Stockton at a school and then killed himself. He was using an AK-47 on the school and then a 45 on himself. I watched all types of media putting all types of weapon ownership as being irresponsible and unecassary. The laws are passed due to pressure by those that are made to believe that they are threatened every day of their lives just because the local gunstore exists. When I started paintball, it was looked upon by some people as a militia sport. In other words, "a way for militia to practice and to take over the government." Thank the media for that one too. As if that weren't enough negativity, we had those jackasses down in LA doing drive bys with a paintball gun and filming themselves with a camcorder. Paintball recieved attacks there too. I read all the paintball literature and I watched the industry change from woods ball to players changing from cammos to pretty colors and playing speed ball. All that too rid the image of warfare in the sport.
