pistol dilema
ok folks, i'm gonna buy a GBB. it'll be my first gas gun, and i want it to be a good one. I want something with the reliability of a KWA glock 19 or an 18c, but i don't like the look of glocks. i like the KWA USP compact, but i haven't heard the best things about it. I also like the KWA m9, but i haven't heard the best things about that either, and i would like to have a metal slide. I have a budget at the most 150 and thats including a spare magazine or two and some gas. any suggestions?
I just finnished pimping out my USP compact. one can get a USP from Poweredge USA for about 115 shipped, and get a custom slide for about 60 or if your on a budget steelwool the slide to make it stainless steel. Durablity the USP is great I hear, but it just dosn't shoot like 320 FPS like my glock does. Which I think is alittle too much, (almost took out a players teeth at a game here on the pen). Gas wise if you get the propain addaptor thing it pays for itself in like two bottles of gas or about a mouth, and makes it run alittle hotter. On my USP, on propain it can pop one side of a soda can.
Though one small flaw is that the mag catch is plastic so after about I would say 3 or 4 mouths of normal use (like a game a mouth and about 5 or 6 times of plinking in the back yard a mouth) it will ware down and not hold the mag anymore.
Agreed about the Glocks, from everything I've seen and heard they are the best bang for the buck. Not to mention the are tough as nails. I've seen them dropped, kick, and abused and they keep on working.
thanks guys. i'll prolly go with either a glock 17 or 19 plus maybe two extra mags(i get trigger happy sometimes). but maybe i'll get a USP compact. probably a glock though. do glocks require much maintainence? because one thing i would not be comfortable with doing regularly is taking apart the guin
well if u go with the glock all i have ever done to mine is just keep it welll oiled and every now and the take it apart and just clean it out with a few Q-tips. It is very easy to take apart and very self explanitory.
ok then, pretty sure i'm goin with a glock 19 or 17, but i'm gonna go up to the local airsoft store and check them out for feel. any suggestion for a place to buy them?(online)
Go with a M92 or a USP..Those are really nice guns(well, depending on what brand.Go with KWA).The USP has a nice little kick to it.I personaly dis-like glocks because everyone and their mom has one

The most reliable GBB I've ever used were the TM and TM clones.
or, you could buy my KSC G18C with a mettle slide and a hi-flow valve. It shoots ~315 FPS with .25g BBs
how much are you asking? or was that a joke[/quote]
i personaly like the feal and look of the USP over the Glock. but i recomend the glock cuz its slightly cheaper and more reliable. BUT THE USP IS STILL MY FAVORIT!

Update, if you haven't already decided here's a little more info. I just picked up the previously mentioned USP Compact. It's the Kwa version. Very nice gun. Been playing with it since I picked it up. I also like the fact that it has an attach point for my pistol lanyard... nice kick and pretty accurate. I have to agree with previous posters, great pistol. :D
I just received my KSC G17 yesterday and I love it. I got it for $99 and $35 more for a G&G metal slide and spring upgrade from Airsoftshooting on Ebay.
OOPS, G&P metal slide not G&G... Sorry
now here's the part where i have a problem. many different opinions, including my own. at this point i'll make up my mind, then change it due to some info i found. now i'm thinkin either USP Compact, Glock 19(or 17), or M9 BR (all KWA)
keep in mind that the KWA pistols from AEX have orange paint that needs sanding down to get rid of...too much work in my book...
snoopy you bastard. i almost had my mind made up and here you come with your kickass g18c. does the new addition up the price?
and this thing works right? is there any sort of package deal? such as an extra mag or something
Hey Shawn,
Behold the Coolness That Is John
sorry snoopy, but i think i'm gonna pass on the g18. like someone else said before, its probably not a good idea for me to straight into a full auto gun.
ok folks, i want a G17 or a USP compact with at least one spare mag. not too many upgrades, just the necessities ( high-flow valve, such like that).
