My baby broke (need advice on M733 Problem)

Dec 4, 2003 12:06am
Yes i know it is tragic, my M733 decided to take a dive for the dark side. This is what happened...i was shooting my gun and fired about 20 shots when it just stoped shooting. I tried everything: change/charge batt, switch firing modes, and check for jam...nothing. But heres what the guns status is like: it makes no noise, the only thing you here when you pull the trigger is a click, it sounds like it is coming from the motor in the handle, you can feel it too. Also i noticed that the little nob on the mech box that blows the air agianst the bb to prepel it is stuck back. therefore the chamber in a sense is open.(easier to explain on the phone if you dont understand). The guy i bought it from said that the screw in the piston might have come out and jammed it, and he gave me directions on how to fix it by taking the mech box apart(unfortunatly i dont think i can do that, and cant aford to try to and that proves to not be the problem). I hoping someone can either tell me what they think might be wrong or knows what is wrong or something to help me fix my gun because im stumped...so basically i just need some help fixing it.

sorry to hear that...

if i stripped the gears, that would mean that they would just be circles now so therefore wouldnt i still here the motor running?

if you just hear the motor whirring, chances are you did strip the gears...if you dont hear the motor running then there's a problem with the connection...

ya if you hear the motor make a little click(and can feel a slight click on the grip) then your battery sounds out.

Your problems is that you should've gotten an AK.

Well since it makes a "clicky" noise and said you have used a new battery then there is obviously a jam. You'll need to take the gearbox apart and look inside. The guy you bought it from might be right. The screw may have somehow backed out and the piston head could have come off and jammed. that is only one scenario. Your piston itself could have broken. No biggie though. Its only $25 for a new aluminum one. I have seen pistons break numerous times. seems to be a common problem. The very first tooth closest to the piston head will have broken off and jammed in a gear or like on my gun it was somehow "pushed" into the piston. So either way you'll need to take apart your gearbox.

Yes, i shoulda got an AK but i didnt... :( .......yea, when i take the gun and split it like the M4s, it exsposes the nozzle. no i cannot move it, you can push it about 3 or 4 mm and thats all, it seems to be jammed in place. does that help?

Seriously, huh i thought it would be more then that but ill try....are gearboxs that easy to just take apart and put back together? because ill be honest...im used to know whats wrong with my airsoft guns, but when i got an AEG i am clueless to what might be wrong.
