Teflon coated? Whats coated(inside/outside/whole thing)? Why? Benifets? I've never herd of this before... :?:

Teflon coating ( I think) is basically they coat it in teflon, in my case, its just the slide ( to get rid of the orange tip) and I think would make it easier to clean (think teflon coated cooking pans).

I never would have thought that teflon coated means they coat it with teflon! Isnt teflon clear? I mean it can be many colors but wouldnt a coating be clear? I'd assume that it acts as a sealer/protector/low-friction coating for the slide? I wouldnt think it would be used to get rid of an orange tip, maybe to "seal/protect' the black paint at the end of the barrel but not to actually cover it.

the coat... they take your slide use steal wull to get all the old paint off then spray a primer base coat then use the teflon paint what ever color u want OD, Black, ext... then they bake the slide in a toster at 375... and out comes a scrach risistant non orange tip slide....
