trying to use a classic army m-4 body for a marui. it seems like the selector switch will not push the selector plate far enough to pin the cut off lever. the gun will only fire semi. another question the feed ramp and hop-up/ will the marui one work. doesn't seem to feed right. has anyone done a body switch. any help or tips would be appreciated. thanks.

i hear ya, but i bought the complete set from eric's brother "tom". what a nightmare!!! it was a great buy, never do it again. it is the old style body. the tip that bakafetus gave me won't work. the thingy the buffer tube goes on is fixed and the gearbox won't line up. have a marui with a classic army gear box shell- will try that next and will have to dremel the lower and put a one piece systema hop-up unti. hopefully this will work or F@#$! it, and the plastic goes on and i'll just build a ca m-4.
it appears to be an older body. it is a knock off off the plastic marui ones. it houses the two piece hop-up. just switched everything over to a ca mech box, same thing will not full auto. i can see that the selector switch needs to move about an 1/8 of an inch towards the rear. only thing i can think off is to enlarge the rear pin hole and the small pin above the trigger to push the gear box foward. ended up buying a one piece hop-up and removing some material from the body so i can use it and that takes care of the feeding problem. dam thing is a pain!!!
finished the dam thing!!! took alot of fitting and shimming the gear box foward. hand to re-drill rear receiver pin/pin above trigger on the gear box. dremel the crap out of the lower ca receiver to fit the one piece hop-up. ris front end-remove a bunch of material and finnally done!!! stan and kevin, i'll agree with them-don't buy classic army!!!! thanks for everyone's -/+input. Bordicon was on the money$$$$$$$!! with his tip.
I have a CA metal body w/ TM gb. Had the selector problem too. Getting a selector switch with a metal lobe fix it. You probly have a plastic one.
replaced it with "METAL C/A" one. did not work either. was nickling & diming it. A new selector plate didn't work nor installing a C/A outer mech box! if it doesn't work, just pm me and i'll let you know what i had to do. oops! just read the lobe took care of your problem.
